The problem with being an expert on one disaster is that other disasters might strike your family. Your task is to create a disaster manual for your family that will help your family prepare for any disaster.
Directions: Combine the ideas of fire, flood, and tornado into a list of common preparedness stepps.
Before you begina: what would your teacher and teacher librarian need to teeach you about analysis and syntesis?

Now, make a list of points that would be in your family disaster manual?
1. Have a plan, especially in re: to communication.
2. Practice the plan.
3. Means to get ongoing information (special radios, etc.)
Ideas for sharing this manual with your family so that you can get credit for creating it:
1. E-mail, PowerPoint, poster, write MySpace wall.
2. Family meeting.
3. Add to family Christmas cards.
4. Print it and hang on fridge.
